Richard Göttelmann is the landlord in a Mainz tenement house that houses five parties, two shops and a workshop. Richard always takes care of the tenants' worries and problems. The coexistence of these is not always harmonious. Quite a few disputes have to be settled, but somehow they always reach an agreement.
